About Mendi House Restaurant

Mendi House Restaurant is an other food place in Dearborn, Michigan. It is listed at 16351 Ford Rd #100, Dearborn, MI 48126, which places it among the local businesses of Dearborn that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

This group holds listings that did not fit cleanly into a food or drink category, mostly businesses that were pulled in alongside a restaurant in the same shopping plaza or that combine several kinds of service, such as a market with an attached clinic or a strip-mall unit that also does phone repair or tax preparation. The details here come from the public listing rather than a curated food write-up, so treat the category label loosely and check the business's own hours and services before visiting. Some of these are legitimate neighbors of the food businesses on this site, such as a nail salon or a laundromat in the same strip mall, while others are simply miscategorized on the source data and worth a quick call to confirm what they actually offer.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (313) 846-9330. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, mendi-house.webnovare.com.

With 4.1 out of 5 on Google from 1,132 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for other food places in Dearborn. Recent reviews are the best guide.

This branded environment, exquisite cuisine, and the most respectful staff I've ever met, allowed me to enjoy a piece of culture worth traveling across the globe for. 10/10 if you haven't yet, go get you some Yemen style life experiences. I know its blessed my day with the most wonderful feeling. A vibe I cant even describe with words. You just have to see it for yourself. And affordable?! Less than $20 and it did not disappoint one bit.

Getting to try general Middle Eastern Cuisine is new for us, and I must say that we were fortunate that we had such a pleasant first experience with it. On the menu, our four-person group picked the four-person Haneeth combo. The portion was very generous - $109 for four people stuffed basically to the brim with a large box of unfinished rice that we took out. The salad was very fresh, having a distinct more sour-sweet tomato-like taste. The vegetable fahsa tasted amazing and it acted as a good complement to every other dish. The actual haneeth platter also tasted delicious, with the meat being notably cooked very well - you can fork it straight off the bone and you wouldn't need a knife for the job. The bread must also not go unmentioned because it also tasted great. In short, the food was amazing. Beyond the food, I thought that the service and ambience was actually pretty amazing. Some people left negative reviews because the server wasn't getting to them, but I thought it's a positive and allowed our group to eat undisturbed. The restaurant was also generally pretty chill vibe-wise - it was quite brightly lit, and even when the restaurant was completely packed as was the case

Beautiful experience. The ambiance is subdued elegant Arabic, I don't know Yemeni culture specifically but it's clear that thoughtful effort went into the decorations. The furnishings are standard American neighborhood restaurant, in keeping with the accessible pricing, and not a distraction. Service staff is gracious, in flowing robes but definitely come across with authentic family vibes. Our local friend ordered family style dishes for us, as seems common in the culture. The salad came out in dressing was reminiscent of tabouli. So far so good. Well the jaws dropped when the food came out. We had been simmering in the scents while waiting, so that did not surprise, but visually it was just gorgeous platters of rice and various grilled proteins. The lovely rice contrasted with the impossibly tender texture of the chicken and lamb, and the crispyness of the fish matched the densely spiced coating. And don't forget the milk tea and dessert! Highly recommend.

Yesterday, I went to try their "signature" Meat Mandi, which was recommended to me by a friend, and here is my full review: Food: I ordered their Mandi, and the quality was below average and way below my expectations. As someone who was raised and lived most of his life in Gulf states like the UAE, I can tell you that this place's Mandi is far from real authentic Mandi. It was tasteless and lacked real mandi flavor or spices. Unless you try Mandi in the UAE, Saudi, or Yemen, you won't understand what I really mean. Price: It was overpriced at $35 + built-in tips, which annoyed me. I was anyway going to tip the waiter, but I hate it when a restaurant builds the tip into the price, forcing you to make a tip payment. Service: The young men working there were friendly and professional. The place was clean and well-maintained. Bottom line, I only tried their meat Mandi and not other dishes, so I can't comment on those. Will I visit again: I doubt it. Do I recommend this place: Your choice, but for me, there are better options in Dearborn. Parking: Plenty of parking space, so you should be okay.
